Between Heaven & Earth
LOOKING INWARD: Installation art is the work of process. The way to learn something deeply is to experience it. Gathering sticks, seeing images, allowing repetition to occur, finding the objects, applying paint or paper — this is my way of finding myself and making it visible for the viewer. Winter, itself, makes this introspection possible.
Observing our delicate balance in the ecosystem, realizing our deep familial connections, finding one’s real work in the world, learning to listen deeply, opening the heart to compassion — these are a few of the lessons one may encounter in the process of finding the self. The paradox is that by finding ourselves, we find the implicate order of the universe.
